About Men Who Talk
Men Who Talk is a UK-based men’s mental health charity run by our small team and passionate volunteers, all overseen by a board of trustees. We provide supportive spaces for men to talk openly about what’s on their mind.
Our groups are open to anyone who identifies as male, aged 18 and over, anywhere in the UK.
Men Who Talk was launched to create more spaces where men can talk about mental health, emotions, and life’s challenges without judgement.
We are here to bridge the gap between service availability and demand through digital innovation and improving access.
We believe talking is a powerful way to reduce stigma, increase trust, and support men’s mental health.
Thanks to being a digital men’s mental health charity, we serve men living anywhere in the UK. Wherever you have internet, you have access to Men Who Talk.
We take the safety of our group members very seriously and we pride ourselves on our strong commitment to to safeguarding all those who interact with Men Who Talk.
We have a safeguarding policy which requires all volunteers to have Level 3 Safeguarding Adults training as well as continual professional development.
We also have two designated safeguarding leads in the organisation.
The best way to reach us is by email at info@menwhotalk.org.

About Our Groups
All our online groups run via Zoom, making it easy to join from anywhere in the UK.
We currently run groups twice a week:
Wednesday evenings at 7:00pm and Saturdays at 2:00pm.
We hope to add more sessions soon, so keep checking back to our groups page for updates.
To join, just sign up with your real name, email, and phone number. Your details are only used for safety and your name won’t be shared with the group.
You can find out more about upcoming groups on the booking page.
You’re welcome to use a different name and keep your camera off in the Zoom room.
If you use a different name or turn off your camera, a facilitator will chat with you privately before the session starts to confirm your details. This keeps everyone safe and secure.
Yes. Your information stays private and will only ever be shared if there’s a serious risk to your safety.
We will always attempt to seek consent before sharing information, and any personal data can be removed at any time by emailing the MWT team.
You can read our Privacy Policy for more information.
All of our groups are completely free to attend.
Our groups are run by trained volunteer facilitators who are passionate about supporting men’s mental health.
Up to 20 men can attend each session, but most groups are between 6 and 10 people.
Our groups are social, supportive spaces free from judgement. When you login to zoom for your first group, you’ll be greeted by a welcome message prior to the group starting.
Once the group starts, our team of excellent volunteer facilitators will welcome you and do a short introduction. This helps to ensure everyone is on the same page and comfortable.
Once all the introductions are done, the facilitators will invite you and others in the group to begin talking about whatever is on your mind. There’s no pressure to chat, many men just listen in their first group if they’re a bit anxious.
Towards the end of the group, the facilitators will close the group, summarising the session before highlighting some extra resources we think are helpful. You’re then welcome to leave and encouraged to join us again for another group.
Yes, we ask that you only sign up if you can attend the full session. This helps keep the group safe and supportive for everyone.
