Online Support Groups for Men
What are our groups and what do previous attendees say?
Our free online support groups for men are social, supportive spaces where you can come and talk about what’s on your mind.
They’re designed to create an online community of men talking and sharing their experiences. Our groups are open to anyone who identifies as male, aged 18 and over, anywhere in the UK, whether you want to share your own experiences, hear from others, or just be part of a community.
We know many men feel nervous about joining an online group. Many of us have been told our whole lives not to talk and to just “man up”. Our groups are different. We encourage men to talk when they feel ready, and if you’re worried about being recognised, you can use a different name and keep your camera off.
“I liked the honesty and sincerity of the hosts and the group members. The hosts were extremely friendly, professional and engaging”
MWT Attendee
“I felt safe in the group, it was warm and supportive. The other men were open and showed vulnerability”MWT Attendee
Please note: our groups are not therapy or counselling. They’re for men who need a space to talk. Our facilitators are trained volunteers. They aren’t therapists or counsellors. If you need that level of support, our Further Support page lists services that can help.
Men Who Talk is a UK men’s mental health charity. We run free online groups so that any man in the UK, wherever he lives, has somewhere to talk.

What to expect in your first group
When you join on Zoom, you’ll see a welcome message before the group starts. The facilitators open with a short introduction so everyone feels comfortable, then invite the group to talk about whatever’s on their mind.
There’s no pressure to talk. Lots of men just listen in their first group. At the end, the facilitators summarise the session and share some extra resources you might find helpful.

Why are Groups Important?
Our online groups were created because talking matters. We know things can be tough, and it’s often hard to know where to turn.
Talking is OK, and it can make a real difference. All of our groups are led by trained volunteer facilitators who are there to keep the space safe and welcoming.
We know it can be worrying joining an online group, especially with an organisation that’s new to you. By keeping our groups broad and general, we hope you’ll feel less pressure to join a particular group and happier to just come and chat.
